This 8" bolt cutter's max opening size is 1/4" (7mm), and the size of max cutting capacity is 1/10" (2.3mm). It is suitable for cutting steel wire, chains, cables, etc., but NOT recommended for cutting locks, stainless steel bolts and heat-treated bolts.
